Sportsbet vs Bet365

Two of the biggest online sports betting sites in Australia are Sportsbet and Bet365. These are two of the most popular and trusted platforms in the country, but they have different features, offers and markets that will appeal to different punters. I’ll rank the main differences and similarities between Sportsbet and Bet365, and help you decide which one suits your betting style and preferences better.

Comparison of market offerings

If you’re going to spread your bets across a range of markets, you’re probably wondering which site is better: Sportsbet or Bet365. There’s some differences in the range and depth of their markets on offer. Let’s take a look at the markets offered by both, and see which one comes out on top.

  • Sportsbet has over 30 sports to choose from, including AFL, NRL, cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, and more. You can also bet on racing, politics, entertainment, and novelty markets.
  • Bet365 has a similar selection of sports, but you’ll get access to more international coverage. There’s markets for obscure leagues and events from around the world, as well as esports, virtual sports, and financials.
  • Sportsbet clearly has more options for each market. There’s head-to-head, line, margin, points, props, futures, and multi bets. You can also create your own bets with the Bet Builder feature.
  • Bet365 tends to have fewer options for each market, but seems to offer better odds and higher limits. You can also stream live events and access in-play betting on their site.

If we look at the above, Sportsbet has the edge over Bet365 when it comes to the variety of markets they offer. You’ll get more variety and flexibility,  especially if you like to bet on different aspects of a game. Bet365 is still a great option if you want to bet on niche markets or max out on the best value for your money.

Who has the best odds?

One of the most important things to look at is the odds each site offers. These determine how much you can win from your bets. The higher the odds, the better the payout.

According to some sources (https://mybettingsites.com/au/articles/sportsbet-vs-bet365), Bet365 offers better odds than Sportsbet for most sports and markets. For example, in a random sample of two Champions League matches, Bet365 had equal or higher odds than Sportsbet for all outcomes. Bet365 also has a reputation for having high odds for niche sports and live betting markets.

Let’s break down the odds comparison quickly:

  • Bet365 has consistently higher odds for most sports and markets
  • Bet365 has more niche and live betting markets with high odds
  • Sportsbet has reasonable odds across the board, but not as high as Bet365
  • Sportsbet has more markets for the biggest events, but not as many as Bet365

The clear winner of this round is Bet365. If you are looking for the best odds in the industry, Bet365 is clearly the betting site for you.

Who offers better live streaming?

Another important factor to consider when choosing a sports betting site is the live streaming service they offer. Live streaming can enhance your betting experience and help you make better decisions. Here is how Sportsbet and Bet365 compare:

  • Sportsbet offers live streaming for selected Australian and international horse racing, greyhound racing, harness racing, soccer, tennis, basketball, cricket and more. You can access the live stream from the website or the app. You’ll have to have have a positive account balance. If you’re like me and have already bet, you can still stream if you have placed a bet in the last 24 hours.
  • Bet365 offers live streaming for a wide range of sports, including soccer, tennis, basketball, cricket, rugby, snooker, darts, esports and more. You can watch the live stream on your desktop, mobile or tablet. Like Sportsbet you can stream as long as you have a funded account or have placed a bet in the last 24 hours. Bet365 also has a live streaming schedule so you can see which events are available to watch and when.

Bet365 has a slight edge over Sportsbet in terms of live streaming as they cover more sports and offer that convenient schedule. Super handing so you can plan your viewing ahead of time. Sportsbet still has a decent live streaming service, but it is not as comprehensive as Bet365’s. If live streaming is important to you, I recommend choosing Bet365 over Sportsbet.

Who has the better customer service?

Another important aspect to consider when choosing a sports betting site is the customer service they provide. You never know when you might encounter a problem or have a question that needs a quick and helpful answer. That’s why I decided to test the customer service of Sportsbet and Bet365 and compare them based on the following criteria:

  • Availability: How easy is it to reach them and how long do they take to respond?
  • Friendliness: How respectful are they towards you?
  • Knowledge: How well do they know their products and services and how accurate are they in providing information?
  • Resolution: How effectively do they solve your issues or answer the questions that you have?

Here are the results of the deep dive:

  • Availability: Sportsbet has a 24/7 live chat option, a phone number, an email address, and a FAQ section on their website. Bet365 also has a 24/7 live chat option, a phone number, an email address, and a help section on their website. Both sites have similar response times, but I found that Bet365’s live chat was slightly faster and more reliable than Sportsbet’s.
  • Friendliness: Both sites have friendly and polite customer service agents who greet you warmly and thank you for your time. However, I noticed that Sportsbet’s agents were more enthusiastic and cheerful than Bet365’s agents, who were more formal and professional.
  • Knowledge: Both sites have knowledgeable and well-informed customer service agents who can answer most of the questions and queries that customers have. However, I found that Bet365’s agents were more thorough and detailed than Sportsbet’s agents, who sometimes gave vague or incomplete answers.
  • Resolution: Both sites have effective and satisfactory customer service agents who can resolve most of the issues or problems that customers face. However, I found that Sportsbet’s agents were more flexible and generous than Bet365’s agents, who were more strict and rigid.

Sportsbet has the slight edge over Bet365 in terms of customer service. Both sites have excellent customer service, but Sportsbet’s agents are more friendly, enthusiastic, and flexible than Bet365’s agents. This makes the customer experience that much more satisfying. It was a close race but Sportsbet is the winner of this race.

So who is the winner?

Both Sportsbet and Bet365 are very reputable and reliable online sports betting platforms. They both offer a wide range of markets, features and promotions. However, there are some differences that may appeal to different types of punters.

Sportsbet has a more user-friendly interface, a better live streaming service and a more generous welcome bonus.

Bet365 has more competitive odds, a wider coverage of international events and a more extensive in-play betting section. Depending on your preferences and needs, you may find one of them more suitable for your online sports betting experience.

But for me Bet365 has a slight edge over Sportsbet in terms of overall quality and value, so they take the crown as the winner of this comparison.

Brisbane Bullets v Sydney Kings – 13th Oct Predictions

The NBL season is definitely heating up as two of the top teams, the Brisbane Bullets and Sydney Kings, clash in a thrilling game this Friday night. Both teams have been in stellar form, with both winning their last three games and steadily climbing the ladder.

The bookies have given a slight edge to the Bullets, who have home court advantage and a slightly deeper bench. However, dont underestimate the Kings, as they boast some of the league’s best players and a strong defensive system.

Who’s going to  come out on top in this exciting match-up? Let’s take a look at some of the key factors that might decide the outcome.

Why I think the Kings will get up

The Sydney Kings are coming into this game with a lot of momentum and confidence. They have won their last four games, including a thrilling overtime victory against the Perth Wildcats. They have also beaten the Brisbane Bullets twice this season, both times by double digits. ‘So the Kings might get up, and here’s why :

  • The Kings have a balanced and strong offence, led by star import Jarell Martin. He’s averaging 21.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He is supported by veteran guard Shaun Bruce, who is shooting 43.8% from the three-point line, and young gun Dejan Vasiljevic, who is scoring at 16.9 points per game.
  • The Kings have a solid defence and rank third in the league in points allowed per game (82.9) and second in steals per game (7.6). They have also held the Bullets to an average of 74 points in their two previous meetings, well below their season average of 86.4 points.
  • The Kings have a psychological edge over the Bullets, having won six of their last seven games against them. They also have the home court advantage, playing at Qudos Bank Arena, where they have a 9-3 record this season.

I believe that the Kings have what it takes to defeat the Bullets once more and extend their winning streak to five games. They are playing with a lot of energy and cohesion, and they have proven that they can handle the pressure of close games. The Bullets will put up a fight, but I think the Kings will prevail in the end.

Why I think the Bullets will get up

The Brisbane Bullets are facing the Sydney Kings in a what may be a crucial NBL game this Friday night. Both teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs, but I definitely think the Bullets have the edge in this game. Let’s look at why:

  • The Bullets have won four of their last five games, while the Kings have lost three of their last four. The Bullets are in form and have momentum on their side.
  • The Bullets have a more balanced and versatile roster. There’s players like Nathan Sobey, Lamar Patterson, and Matthew Hodgson who contribute in different ways. The Kings rely too much on Casper Ware and Jarell Martin, who can be inconsistent and inefficient at the best of times.
  • The Bullets have the home court advantage at the Nissan Arena with their loyal fans. The Kings have struggled on the road, losing six of their nine away games this season.

The Bullets have form, the depth, and support. It should hopefully be a close and exciting game, but I’m hedging my bets with a counter on the Bullets to prevail.

What do the bookies say?

The bookies are favouring the Sydney Kings to win the upcoming NBL game against the Bullets. The Kings are currently leading the competition, while the Bullets are still looking for that elusive win.

  • According to BetOnline, the Kings are paying $1.53 to win, while the Bullets are paying $2.50
  • Sofascore also predicts a 68% chance of a Kings victory, based on their community votes and previous head to head results.

However, the Bullets have some star power in their roster, with former NBA players Tyler Johnson and Aaron Baynes joining Nathan Sobey and Jason Cadee.

The game is expected to be a high-scoring affair, with Bet Experts suggesting a total match points over 175.5 at $1.90 odds.

The key matchup will be between the two starting guards, Tyler Johnson and Dejan Vasiljevic, who are both capable of shooting from deep and creating opportunities for their teammates. Whoever performs better on the day will have a big impact on the outcome of the game.

Bottom Line

The Kings have a strong record against the Bullets, having won three of their last four meetings, including a 10-point victory in their previous encounter. The Kings also have a balanced and potent offense, led by Derrick Walton Jr, Xavier Cooks and Dejan Vasiljevic, who can score from inside and outside the arc. The Bullets, on the other hand, have struggled with consistency and discipline. Yes, they have some talented players like Tyler Johnson, Aaron Baynes and Nathan Sobey but they’ll need to improve their shooting and defence to really bring it to the Kings.

Based on the current odds from various betting sites , the Kings are paying around $1.50 to $1.80 to win the game, while the Bullets are paying around $2.50 to $3.00. It’s more likely that the Sydney Kings will prevail over the Brisbane Bullets in this NBL clash.

Australian Diamonds v New Zealand – 12th October Predictions

The netball rivalry between Australia and New Zealand is one of the most intense between the two nations. We’ve faced New Zealand in numerous finals and both teams have always delivered thrilling matches.

On Thursday, they will meet again in Melbourne for the Constellation Cup, a four-game series that will test their skills and strategies. Who will emerge victorious and claim the trophy?

The bookies usually have their finger on the pulse and I use their numbers to try to predict the outcome based on their odds. They take into account all the factors, such as form, injuries, and home advantage.

Let’s take a deep dive into the live betting markets for the first game of the series and see what they tell us about the chances of each team.

Why I think the Diamonds will get up

Both teams have a long and fierce rivalry in netball, dating back to the first World Cup in 1963. They’ve met a total of 153 times, with Australia winning 94 and New Zealand 56, and three draws. This game on Saturday is set to be another thrilling clash, with both teams vying for the top spot in the Constellation Cup series. Let’s dive into why I think the Diamonds will get up and claim the victory:

  • The Diamonds have a very strong and experienced squad, with many players returning from injury or maternity leave. There’s a good mix of spirited youth and seasoned veterans, with speed and strength, attack and defence.
  • The Diamonds have a bit of a psychological edge over the Silver Ferns. They’ve won the last two games by very narrow margins. They work well under pressure and can close out the game in the final quarter.
  • The Diamonds have a home advantage with a supportive crowd in Melbourne. They will no doubt feed off the energy and enthusiasm of the fans, and use it to lift their performance.

I have a strong gut feeling that the Diamonds have what it takes to win the game. They have shown resilience, determination and skill in their previous encounters, and I expect them to do the same on Saturday.

Why I think the Silver Ferns will get up

On the other side of the argument, it’s worth noting the Silver Ferns have won the last two matches and this includes the 2019 World Cup final. The Silver Ferns are in with a good chance to get up and beat the Diamonds again.

  • The Silver Ferns have a more balanced and experienced squad. There’s veterans like Laura Langman, Ameliaranne Ekenasio and Jane Watson leading the charge. They’ll be supported by some exciting young talents like Grace Nweke and Kimiora Poi, who’ll add speed and flair to the attack.
  • The Diamonds are going through a rebuilding phase. There’s many new faces in the side and a new coach, Stacey Marinkovich. Granted they have lost some key players to retirement or injury, such as Caitlin Bassett, Liz Watson and Courtney Bruce. They’re still finding their best combinations and strategies, which could make them vulnerable to pressure and mistakes.
  • The Silver Ferns have beaten the Diamonds them in their last two encounters and have a psychological edge over the Diamonds. There’s strong motivation to prove themselves as the best team in the world and to honour their legendary coach Noeline Taurua, who will step down after this game.

The Silver Ferns are in with a good chance to win the game against the Diamonds. It will be a close and thrilling contest.

What do the bookies say?

Based on the numbers, the Australian Diamonds are the favourites to win the upcoming game. The Diamonds have been in spectacular form lately, winning the Quad Series in England with a 14-goal victory over the Silver Ferns in their first match. The Diamonds also have a new shooting combination of Gretel Bueta and Steph Wood, who have been on fire with their accuracy and creativity.

If we look at the last time the two teams met in Australia, the Diamonds won 55-49 in a close contest. But let’s not underestimate New Zealand. They are the reigning world champions and have beaten Australia in some thrilling finals in the past.

If we go on what the bookmakers are saying, we’ve got:

  • Sportsbet: Australia 1.40, New Zealand 2.90
  • Ladbrokes: Australia 1.42, New Zealand 2.88
  • Bet365: Australia 1.40, New Zealand 3.00
  • Neds: Australia 1.40, New Zealand 2.90
  • TAB: Australia 1.40, New Zealand 2.90

This game is definitely going to be an exciting match. Both teams have strong players and a long history of rivalry. However, based on the current odds from the bookies, the Australian Diamonds have a slight edge over their opponents. Fingers crossed the Aussies will continue their winning streak and claim the victory in this game.

JackJumpers vs Kings – 6th October Odds

The Tasmania JackJumpers and the Sydney Kings are gearuing up to face off in a thrilling NBL match this Friday night, the 6th of October, 2023. Both teams have been in cracking form this season, with the JackJumpers in 8th and the Kings sitting in 3rd.

It’s a local match for the JackJumpers. It’s being played at the MyState Bank Arena in Hobart, where they’ll have a strong home advantage. The Kings will be set to not be intimidated though, as they have won their last three games on the road.

This match is shaping up to be a high-scoring affair with both teams offering some of the best offensive players in the league.

But who will come out on top in this epic clash? Let’s dive in and find out more about both teams, their strengths and weaknesses and who the bookies are predicting to win.

Why I think the Kings will get up:

The Sydney Kings have been in great form lately. They’ve won four of their last five games and climbed to third on the NBL ladder. They got a balanced and experienced roster, led by the veteran guard Casper Ware, who is averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 assists per game. The Kings also have very a strong frontcourt led by Jarell Martin and Xavier Cooks who provide size, athleticism and versatility.

The JackJumpers, on the other hand, have struggled to find consistency in their debut season. They have lost three of their last four games and are sitting at third last on the table. They have a young and inexperienced team, with only two players over the age of 25. They also rely heavily on their star import Josh Magette, who is leading the league in assists with 8.2 per game, but also gives away 3.8 turnovers per game.

Here are some reasons why I think the Kings will get up:

  • The Kings have a clear edge in shooting efficiency. They rank second in the league in field goal percentage (47.8%) and three-point percentage (38.9%), while the JackJumpers rank last in both categories (41.9% and 31.3% respectively).
  • The Kings have more depth and experience. They have nine players who average more than 10 minutes per game, while the JackJumpers have only six. The Kings also have four players who have played more than 100 NBL games, while the JackJumpers have none.
  • The Kings have a better record on the road. They have won three of their four away games this season, while the JackJumpers have lost three of their four home games.

Why I think the JackJumpers will get up:

The JackJumpers are coming off a thrilling win over the Wildcats in their last game. They showed grit, resilience and teamwork. They have a balanced roster with players who can score, defend and rebound. The coach, Scott Roth, has instilled a culture of hard work and discipline in the team. They also have the home court advantage, playing  in front of the passionate Tassie fans.

Why I think the JackJumpers could also get up are:

  • There’s a strong backcourt with Josh Adams and Clint Steindl, who both create their own shots and can hit from long range.
  • They also have a versatile frontcourt with Will Magnay and Sam McDaniel protecting  the rim and can stretch the floor.
  • The JackJumpers have a deep bench with players like Jarrod Kenny, Fabijan Krslovic and Majok Majok providing energy and impact in limited minutes.
  • They have a favourable matchup against the Kings, who are struggling with injuries and inconsistency. The Kings have lost four of their last five games, and their star guard Casper Ware is doubtful for this game.
  • There’s definite motivation to win this game. They’re fighting to get out of a rut in 8th spot and want to prove themselves against one of the league’s powerhouses.

What do the bookies say?

The bookies are clearly favouring the Sydney Kings this weekend. The Kings are flying high with a 9-1 record, while the JackJumpers are struggling near the bottom with a 2-8 record. The Kings have also won their last five games against the JackJumpers, including a 112-89 blowout in their previous encounter on the 22nd of September.

The JackJumpers have to improve their defence and rebounding if they want to challenge the Kings, especially against a balanced and potent offence led by star guard Jalen Adams.

The average across the bookies is odds of 1.20 for a Kings win and 4.50 for a JackJumpers win, with a point spread of -12.5 for the Kings and +12.5 for the JackJumpers.

Sportsbet tell a closer story, with the Kings at $1.83 and Tassie at $1.97. It will certainly pay to choose who you put your bet down with!

At the end of the day, it’s anyone’s game really!

Australia vs India Round 1 Predictions & Tips

11th October Update: Well, I was clearly wrong. Australia choked and India were the better team. We’ve got to improve our batting and make big scores to be any form of a chance in this World Cup!

The 2023 Cricket World Cup is so close and one of the most anticipated events in the sport is the match between Australia and India. Coming to Channel 9 on the 8th October from Chennai, I can’t wait! It’s going to be a thrilling ODI. Both teams have a strong history of rivalry and passion, and they will be eager to prove themselves on the biggest stage.

Let’s look at some of the factors that could influence the outcome of the game, like the players, the pitch, the weather, and most importantly, the betting odds. I’ll also give you some tips on how to choose the best Australian betting sites for your wagering needs.

Why I think Australia will get up

I think Australia has the edge over India for a few reasons.

Firstly, Australia has a balanced and experienced batting line-up that can score big runs on any pitch. Mitch Marsh, Steve Smith, David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne all scored half-centuries in the third ODI against India. They all showed their form and confidence ahead of the World Cup. Marsh was particularly impressive, falling just four runs short of a century. He has been Australia’s most consistent batsman in the past year and will be a key player in the middle order.

Secondly, Australia has a potent bowling attack that can take wickets at crucial moments. Glenn Maxwell was the star of the show in the third ODI, taking a career-best 4-40 with his off-spin. He also took a stunning catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma, who had smashed 50 off 31 balls. Maxwell’s ability to break partnerships and contain runs will be vital in India’s spin-friendly conditions. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Tanveer Singha are also world-class bowlers who can trouble any batting line-up.

And thirdly, Australia has a clear psychological advantage over India. We won the third ODI by 66 runs but India had already won the series 2-0. The Aussies showed their resilience and determination to avoid a whitewash. They posted a mammoth total of 6-352 and then bowled out India for 286. This win alone will boost their confidence and momentum going into the World Cup. It may leave India with some doubts and complacency after losing their last match.

Why I think India will get up

India has been the dominant team in the last series, winning the first two matches convincingly and showing their depth and versatility in all departments. They have a formidable batting line-up. The ever-reliable Virat Kohli led the charge, who scored a century in the second ODI. He was backed up by the explosive Rohit Sharma, who smashed a quick-fire 50 in the third ODI before falling to a brilliant catch by Glenn Maxwell.

India’s bowling attack is equally impressive, with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja all taking wickets and keeping the pressure on the Australian batsmen. India also has the advantage of playing at home, they know the conditions well and have the support of their passionate crowd.

Australia, on the other hand, has been struggling to find their rhythm and consistency in the last series. They’ve been hampered by injuries. The key players like David Warner, Steve Smith and Pat Cummins have been missing some or all of the matches. The batting has been handed to Mitchell Marsh, who scored a valiant 96 in the third ODI, but failed to get enough support from his teammates.

Their bowling has as best, been erratic. Poor performances from Starc and Cummins leaking runs and failing to take early wickets. Australia also has to deal with the challenge of playing in unfamiliar and hostile conditions, where they have not won an ODI series since 2009.

Based on these factors, I think India will get up in the World Cup match against Australia. They have shown that they are a well-balanced and confident team that can adapt to any situation and overcome any opposition. Australia, meanwhile, has shown that they are a vulnerable and inconsistent team that can crumble under pressure and lose momentum. I expect India to win by a comfortable margin and continue their dominance over Australia in ODIs.

What will the pitch do?

This pitch is expected to be a typical Australian one: hard, fast and bouncy. The ball will come onto the bat quickly and carry well to the fielders and make it easier for the batsmen to score runs, especially if they play aggressive shots. On the flipside, it also means that the fast bowlers will have an advantage, especially if they can generate pace, movement and bounce. This will be sure to  trouble the batsmen. The spinners may not have much role to play. But, if the pitch deteriorates and becomes dry and cracked in the later stages of the match they’ll come into play.

The pitch condition will also depend on the weather, which can be unpredictable. Both teams will have to adapt to the pitch condition and choose their players and tactics accordingly. Whoever wins the toss will likely bat first, as the pitch may become more difficult to bat on as the match progresses. The team that bowls first will have to bowl with extreme discipline and accuracy, as any loose delivery will be punished by the batsmen.

What do the bookies say?

The bookies are favouring India to win the 2023 Cricket World Cup, even more so when they face Australia in the first group stage match at Chennai.

According to Oddschecker, India are the outright favourites to lift the trophy, with odds of 2/1, followed by England at 10/3 and Australia at 9/2.

For the match against Australia, India have odds of 1/41, while Australia have odds of 22/1. This reflects the home advantage that India will enjoy, as well as their recent form and record in the tournament.

India have won the World Cup twice, in 1983 and 2011, both times on home soil. Australia have won the World Cup five times, more than any other team.  It’s been a while thought,  with their last triumph in 2015. They have also consistently struggled in Indian conditions, losing their last ODI series there in 2020 by 2-1.

The bookies also expect a high-scoring match, with the highest innings score being over 300 runs. Odds on for top batsmen for both teams are expected to be Shubman Gill for India and David Warner for Australia, while the top bowlers are expected to be Jasprit Bumrah for India and Mitchell Starc for Australia.

Bottom Line

Australia and India are with no doubt, two of the strongest teams in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, and this match will be a thrilling contest. Both teams have experienced players, powerful hitters, and versatile bowlers.

But, based on their recent performances, Australia seems to have a slight edge over India in terms of consistency, adaptability, and confidence. Australia has won 10 out of their last 12 matches against India in all formats. They’ve also shown more resilience in different conditions and situations.

If we look at India, they’ve struggled with injuries, form, and team balance. They’ve also been under pressure from the expectations of their fans and media. Therefore, we would bet on Australia to win this match, as they have a higher probability of delivering under pressure and exploiting India’s weaknesses.

Webet Review

If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy betting site in Australia, you might want to check out WeBet. WeBet claims to be one of the leading sports betting platforms in the country. They offer a wide range of markets, competitive odds, and generous promotions.

I’ll share my personal experience with WeBet and touch on its features, benefits, and drawbacks. You’ll also get some tips on how to make the most out of your money with WeBet.

What I like about WeBet

WeBet has myriad features that I like, here’s the things that are most appreciated:

  • You’ll get access to a wide range of sports and events to bet on. You’ll get cricket and rugby to horse racing and soccer.
  • There’s a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate and place bets.

  • You’ll get access to a responsive and helpful customer service team that is available 24/7 via phone, email, or live chat.

If you’re looking for a a fun and safe betting experience, WeBet could be a great choice.

Things I don’t like so much

Yes, there are some great aspects to WeBet, but it’s not perfect. There’s definitely some aspects that I think could be improved on. Here are some of the drawbacks that I’ve found::

  • It has a higher than normal minimum deposit requirement of $20. If you’re a casual bettor, it might be too much.
  • Webet doesn’t offer live streaming of any events and you’ll be unable to watch the action as it unfolds.
  • You’ll cop a fee of 2.5% for withdrawals, which can add up if I make frequent cash outs.
  • I had to submit ID, proof of address, and bank statements, before I could withdraw my winnings.
  • The site is clunky. There’s too much going on and it feels like the server is hosted overseas.

Not deal breakers, but they might deter someone from joining or staying with this platform long-term.

How does WeBet compare?

How does it stack up against its competitors? Let’s have a deep dive into the main features and benefits of each site.

Site Odds Sports and Markets Customer Service Payment Options
WeBet Average High Good Credit card, PayPal, bank transfer
Bet365 High High Excellent Credit card, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller
Sportsbet Average Medium Good Credit card, PayPal, POLi
Ladbrokes Low Low Fair Credit card, PayPal, BPAY

It doesn’t have the best odds in the market, and its payment options are somewhat limited compared to Bet365. WeBet also has good customer service, but not as excellent as Bet365.

You’ll get a solid choice for online betting in Australia, but it may not be the best option for everyone. If you are looking for higher odds, more payment options or better customer service, you may want to consider other sites instead.

How I got started with WeBet

I’m a gambling man. I have never found a site that suited ALL my needs. That’s why I decided to give WeBet a try. They had a weird site but offered a wide range of markets and generous bonuses.

I signed up in minutes and made my first deposit using my debit card. I never use my credit card as I don’t want to pay the cash advance interest rate. I placed a bet on the AFL, the Swannies vs the Pies. It was simple and easy. The odds were ok but better than what my colleague was getting on Picklebet.

Sportsbet Review

It’s Australian. You either love AFL or NRL. You either love Sportsbet or the TAB. There’s no denying that there’s something thrilling about placing a wager on your favourite team or player and watching them bring it home. I had seen ALL their social media marketing and decided to try out Sportsbet. By their own admission they are one of the most popular and trusted online sports betting sites in Australia.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned punter, Sportsbet has something for everyone.

What I like about Sportsbet

Sportsbet is one of the most popular and trusted online betting sites in Australia. I have been using it since before the pandemic and I am super satisfied with their service. Here are just some of the things that I like about Sportsbet:

  • You’ll get access to a wide range of sports and markets to bet on. There’s AFL, NRL cricket and soccer. If you’re inclined you can also bet on entertainment, politics, and novelty events. You can even bet on MAFS 🤯.
  • There’s competitive odds and promotions that can give you more value for your money. You can get bonus bets, cash out options, and enhanced odds on selected events.
  • Not to mention the user-friendly website and app that make it easy to place and track your bets. You can also watch live streams of some sports and races on their platform.
  • You’ll also get access to a responsive customer support team that is available 24/7. They’re on phone, email, or live chat. Always ready to help you with any issues or queries you may have.

Sportsbet have everything you need to have a fun and rewarding experience.

What I don’t like about Sportsbet

Sportsbet is one of the most popular online betting platforms in Australia mostly due to their prominence in advertising. But, it’s not without its flaws.

  • The odds are not always the best. Sometimes, I find better deals on other sites, especially for niche sports or events.
  • Sometimes, the customer service is not very responsive. Once, I had some issues with deposits and withdrawals, and it took a long time to get a reply from their support team.
  • The promotions are sometimes not very generous. Sportsbet offers some bonuses and free bets, but they are often limited to specific markets or events, and they have strict terms and conditions.

Sportsbet is a decent betting site, but it sure has some areas that need improvement. I hope they can address these issues in the future, and make their service more satisfying for their customers.

  2. Now you’ll choose your preferred method from the type in the amount you wish to deposit.
  3. Next, you’ll need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transaction. You’ll probably heed to enter some additional details depending on the payment method you selected.
  4. If it’s successful, you’ll see a confirmation message and your balance will be updated accordingly.
  5. Let’s go! You can now start placing bets on your favourite sports and events!

How does Sportsbet compare?

Let’s put Sportsbet up against Bet365, Ladbrokes and Neds.

Feature Sportsbet Bet365 Ladbrokes Neds
Live streaming Yes Yes No No
Cash out option Yes Yes Yes Yes
Same game multi bets Yes No Yes No
Customer support 24/7 phone, email, live chat 24/7 phone, email, live chat Phone, email, live chat (9am-11pm) Phone, email, live chat (8am-8pm)

Sportsbet definitely has some clear advantages over other platforms, with the live streaming and same game multi bets. It also has a pretty sweet bonuses and a key customer support service. But, it also has some notable drawbacks. Think lower odds than some of the competitors and charging extra fees for some deposit methods. If you want a variety of betting options and features Sportsbet could be a good choice, but it may not suit everyone’s preferences and needs.

How I got started with Sportsbet

For some strange reason I love American football. I used to watch the games with my friends every weekend, and we would make friendly bets on who would win.

One of the first events I bet on was the Super Bowl. My friends and I chucked a sickie so we could watch the game together. We ordered pizza, beer, and wings, and set up a projector in the living room. We were all trash-talking each other and (ironically) drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon. I chucked a few bets on Sportsbet(thanks to the PBR), such as the winner, the total points, and the MVP. I was confident in my picks, but I also knew that anything could happen in sports. To my delight, I won two of my bets and made a nice profit. I still rub it in my mates faces to this day.

What sports can you bet on?

If you are looking for a variety of sports to bet on, Sportsbet has you covered no matter what you’re into. You can bet on local and international sports, such as:

And many more…

You can also bet on special events, such as politics, entertainment, awards, and novelty markets like the the JJJ hottest 100. Sportsbet has something for everyone, whether you are a casual punter or a serious bettor.

They’re licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Racing Commission, and adhere to responsible gambling practices. You can set your own deposit limits, self-exclude, or access support services if you need help with your gambling.

What about Security?

If you are wondering how secure your account and money are with Sportsbet, here are some facts you need to know:

  • Sportsbet uses advanced encryption to protect every transaction and prevent fraud and identity theft. They also monitor their systems constantly to block external threats.
  • Sportsbet implements 3DS, a payment fraud protection system that requires an extra step with your card’s financial institution before processing any payment. This ensures that only you can authorise the transactions on your account.
  • Sportsbet has a dedicated cyber security team that ensures all customers’ passwords are up to date with current security standards. They also recommend customers to use strong and unique passwords, change them regularly, and never share them with anyone.
  • Sportsbet also has a fast and responsive customer service team that can help you if you notice any suspicious activity on your account. They can suspend your account and launch an investigation if needed.

It’s clear they take online security very seriously and does everything they can to keep your account and money safe.

Bottom Line

Sportsbet is one of the most popular and trusted online betting sites in Australia. You’ll get access to a wide range of sports and markets, competitive odds, live streaming, cash out, and other features that enhance the betting experience.

Some users have reported issues with customer service, withdrawal delays, and account verification. Sportsbet also has high turnover requirements for its bonus bets, which may limit their value.

Remember: Gambling involves risk. Please only gamble with money you can afford to lose. If you think you may have a gambling problem, please seek help from a professional service.

BetEasy Review

If you hadn’t guessed from my site, I’m a bit of a sports betting tragic. Over the years, I’ve tried many different platforms to place my bets over the years. However, few have come close to impressing me as much as BetEasy. I’ll try share with you my personal experience with BetEasy, and why I think it was one of the better options for anyone who loves sports and wants to make some money from it.

This review is of my experience before they were bought by SportsBet.  I’m writing this review for transparency as I used to use it a lot!

What I liked about BetEasy

BetEasy was one of the most popular and trusted online sports betting sites in Australia. I had been using it for over a year and I was very satisfied with their service. Here are some of the things I liked about BetEasy:

  • They offered a wide range of sports and markets to bet on, from AFL and NRL to cricket and soccer.
  • They had competitive odds and promotions that give you more value for your money.
  • They had a user-friendly website and app that made it easy to place bets and track your results.
  • They had a responsive and helpful customer support team that is available 24/7 via phone, email or live chat.
  • They had a secure and fast payment system that allows you to deposit and withdraw money with ease.

BetEasy was a reliable and enjoyable online sports betting site that I would have recommended to anyone who loves sports and gambling. It was definitely worth checking out.

What I didn’t like about BetEasy

While BetEasy had many features that made it a popular choice for Australian sports bettors, there were also some aspects that I didn’t like about the site. Here are some of the drawbacks that I encountered during my experience:

  • The site was slow and laggy at times, especially during peak hours or when there are major events happening.
  • The customer service wasn’t very responsive or helpful. I had to wait for a long time to get a reply from the live chat, and the email support was not much better.

The promotions and bonuses weren’t very generous or frequent. The welcome offer was only a 100% match up to $50, which is lower than many other sites. The other offers are mostly related to specific sports or events, and are not very appealing or rewarding. This feature across the board has been shut down by the government.

BetEasy definitely had some advantages as an Australian sports betting site, but it also had many flaws that made it less than ideal.

How did it compare?

Even though it’s now defunct, here’s how it stacked up.

Site Welcome Bonus Live Streaming Cash Out Rewards Program
BetEasy $50 Yes Yes Yes
Sportsbet $100 Yes Yes No
Neds $100 No Yes No
Ladbrokes $50 No Yes Yes
Bet365 $200 Yes No No

BetEasy offered a competitive welcome bonus, live streaming of various sports and racing events, cash out option and a rewards program that lets you earn points and redeem them for prizes. BetEasy could have been one of the best choices for Australian punters who want to enjoy a variety of betting options and features. Instead, SportBet bought them out.

How I got started

A couple of mates and I had just finished an annoying 5 over par round at our local club and we’d retired to the 19th hole. The NRL was on the big screen and one of my mates pulled out his phone. He was on the BetEasy site and showed me his screen. It looked really user friendly and easy to get started with.

What happened to BetEasy

BetEasy was one of the most popular online sports betting platforms in Australia, offering a wide range of markets, promotions and features for its customers. However, in December 2020, BetEasy merged with Sportsbet and ceased to operate as a separate brand. This means that all BetEasy accounts, balances and bets were transferred to Sportsbet, and BetEasy customers can now access the same services and products through the Sportsbet website or app. The merger was part of a global deal between Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of Sportsbet, and The Stars Group, the owner of BetEasy. The aim was to create a stronger and more competitive online gambling company that could offer better value and innovation to its customers.

BoomBet Review

If you’ve read any other article on this site you’ve probably realised that I’ve been a sports betting enthusiast for over a decade. I’ve tried pretty much all of the different platforms and services to find the best odds and the most reliable payouts. None of them have impressed nearly me as much as BoomBet, the new online sportsbook that is taking Australia by storm. In this review, I’ll take you through why BoomBet could be the best choice for anyone who loves sports betting. I’ll also tell you how you can get started and some of the things I love (and hate) about the site.

What I like about BoomBet

BoomBet is one of the best online sports betting platforms in Australia. I’ve been using it for over a year and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Here are some of the things that I like about BoomBet:

  • There’s a wide range of sports and events to bet on. Whether you’re an AFL fan or love the UFC, from cricket to rugby, and more. You can find something to suit your preferences and interests.
  • You’ll get a user-friendly and secure website and app. You can access BoomBet from any device and place your bets with ease. The website and app are encrypted and protected by SSL technology, so you can rest assured that your personal and financial information is safe.
  • There’s also a responsive and helpful customer service team. You can contact them via phone, email, or live chat, 24/7. They are always ready to assist you with any queries or issues that you may have.

What I don’t like about BoomBet

BoomBet is far from a perfect sports betting site, and there are some things that I don’t really like about it either. Here are some of the drawbacks that I encountered while using BoomBet:

  • The customer service is slow and unresponsive. I had to wait for more than an hour to get a reply from their live chat, and they did not resolve my issue satisfactorily.
  • The withdrawal process is complicated and time-consuming. I had to submit several documents to verify my identity and bank account, and it took them more than a week to process my withdrawal request.
  • The odds are not very competitive compared to other sports betting sites. I found better odds on some of the events that I wanted to bet on at other sites, and I felt like I was missing out on some potential winnings.
  • The site design is outdated and cluttered. The pink looks like it is from the early 2000s, and it is not very user-friendly. The navigation is confusing, and the layout is messy.

How to fund your BoomBet Wallet

One of the most important aspects of any online betting site is how easy it is to deposit and withdraw money. BoomBet offers a variety of options for funding your wallet, so you can start placing bets on your favourite sports and events. Here the available methods, fees, limits and processing times:

Method Fee Minimum Maximum Processing Time
Credit/Debit Card Free $10 $5,000 Instant
PayPal Free $10 $5,000 Instant
Bank Transfer Free $20 $10,000 1-3 business days
Bitcoin Free $10 $5,000 15 minutes

How to fund your wallet:

  1. Log in to your BoomBet account and click on the “Deposit” button at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Choose your method from the list and enter the amount you want to deposit.
  3. Follow the instructions to complete the transaction. You may need to use your verification details depending on the method you choose.
  4. Once the transaction is confirmed, you will see the funds in your wallet balance. You can now start betting on BoomBet.

How does it compare?

Let’s see how BoomBet stacks up against some of the sites in Australia.

Neds Live betting, cash out, same race multi, extra head, live streaming Competitive odds on major sports, enhanced odds on selected events Responsive customer service reliable payment methods

BoomBet offers a similar range of features and odds as the other platforms, but it also has some unique advantages that make it stand out. For example, BoomBet is the only platform that offers a loyalty program that rewards you with free bets and bonuses for every bet you place.

How I got started with BoomBet

Before I started reviewing on this site, I was trying to research what platform I should sign up for next. I stumbled upon a random site that had a banner ad for BoomBet. It caught my eye because it claimed to be the best sports betting site in Australia, with over 1000 markets, live streaming and cash out options. I was curious, so I clicked on the ad and was redirected to the BoomBet website. It wasn’t a scam!

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and fast the registration process was. It only took me a few minutes to fill out my personal details, verify my identity and make my first deposit. Nothing exciting to this story, just a random banner ad.

Broncos vs Panthers Grand Final Tips and Predictions NRL

The 2023 NRL season definitely hasn’t disappointed anyone. The two heavy hitters battle it out this year: Penrith Panthers and the Brisbane Broncos. Both teams have a rich history and a loyal fan base, but only one can lift the trophy on Sunday night. In this article, I will analyse the strengths and weaknesses of both sides, and give you my predictions for who I think will win the 2023 NRL grand final.

Why I think Brisbane will get up:

  • Brisbane has a strong record against Penrith, having won 11 of their last 15 meetings. This is including the 50-18 thrashing in round 19 this year.
  • Brisbane has a bit more experienced and balanced squad. They have several players who have played in grand finals before, such as Adam Reynolds and Alex Glenn.
  • Brisbane has a more dynamic and creative attack, led by the brilliant Cody Walker, who scored two tries and set up four more in the preliminary final against Manly.
  • Brisbane has a more resilient and determined defence, having overcome a 12-0 deficit to beat Manly 36-16, while Penrith struggled to hold off a late comeback from Melbourne in their 10-6 win.

Why I think Penrith will get up:

  • Penrith have been the most consistent team in the NRL for the past two seasons, winning back-to-back minor premierships and reaching their third consecutive grand final.
  • Penrith have a formidable spine of Dylan Edwards, Jarome Luai, Nathan Cleary and Mitch Kenny, who have combined well to create scoring opportunities and control the game.
  • Penrith have a strong forward pack led by James Fisher-Harris, Isaah Yeo and Liam Martin, who can match the physicality of the Broncos and provide go-forward for their backs.
  • Penrith have a psychological edge over the Broncos, having beaten them twice in the regular season by narrow margins of 13-12 and 15-4, showing they can handle the pressure and close out tight games.

What do the bookies say?

The bookies have the Penrith Panthers as the clear favourites to win another NRL Grand Final, with Sportsbet offering up odds of 1.65 for the Panthers and 2.25 for the Brisbane Broncos.

The Panthers have been the dominant team in the competition for the past three seasons, winning 59 out of their 66 games since the start of 2021. They have also beaten the Broncos twice this year, by 20-12 in round 6 and by 34-16 in round 21.

The Broncos, on the other hand, have defied expectations to reach their first Grand Final since 2015, after finishing ninth last year. They have won eight of their last nine games, including a stunning 28-24 upset over the Melbourne Storm in the preliminary final.

The bookies also expect a high-scoring game, with the over/under line set at 46.5 point . The Panthers have averaged 29.8 points per game this season, while the Broncos have averaged 24.4 points per game. Both teams have also scored more than 40 points in their last two games.

The other thing to consider is the weather playing a factor. It’s forecast for Sunday at Olympic Park to hit 36 degrees, which would make it the hottest Grand Final day ever. This could affect the stamina and performance of both teams, especially in the second half.

Bottom Line

Both teams have shown great form throughout the season, and have definitely earned their spot in the decider. However, based on their recent performances, head-to-head record, and injury updates, I believe that the Penrith Panthers have a slight edge over the Brisbane Broncos.

The Broncos, on the other hand, have struggled with consistency and discipline, and have lost some key players to injury. I reckon that the Penrith Panthers will win the NRL grand final by a margin of 10 points or more. If you are looking for a safe and profitable bet, it’s fair to say the Panthers will be lifting the trophy on Sunday.
